iPad 8.3 + VM + Windows 10

Hi,

i am trying to jailbreak my iPad on a VM using Windows 10 but the ipad does not appear inside iTunes however it gets recognized by windows 10 itself cuz i hear the ding and it installed some device drivers. the ipad also asked if its a trusted computer

any idea?

do u have itunes installed on win10? that's a must.
use version 12.0.1 not the newest

Without iTunes, I think that the iPad will be recognized as a camera, that's why you hear the ding.

no i have iTunes installed but the iPad doesnt pop up. i think it may be an issue running El Capitan as the host and the VMs dont work properly with usb devices

i already tried Paralells, VM Fusion, Virtual Box as well as Windows 10 and Windows 7.

Then most likely it's 10.11's problem. Those VM usually not fully compatible until few weeks after the official version OSX released.

Try a Native boot using VHD. VMs have issues doing everything on hardware.

Do I have to reinstall Windows 10? Will the USB devices work under 10.11 with a VHD?

A VHD "native" Boot is similar to installing on your hard disk (just easier.. no partition). I havent used Windows 10 as yet, so you might want to see guides on getting Windows 10 onto a VHD.
