Hi,
Brand new Ipad 8th Gen is driving me nuts. It drops FaceTime calls or fails the calls or mutes them.
We've had the iPad changed but it still keeps doing it. Apple cannot find any issue with the hardware or software and are suggesting it might be an iCloud account issue. However, we have tried multiple users on the iPad and it still keeps doing the same thing.

Is anyone else getting these issues?

Basically the same issue with me except Facebook Messenger isn't working either (see my post 7/27). I got mine in February and this happened immediately after downloading Ipad OS 14.6. I think I've tried everything short of taking it in, but I'm afraid of getting another 8 and having the same issues. If you hear anything, please let me know. I even tried mine at a different location, signing into my husbands work WIFI, no luck. All other devices in the house are fine.

It seems many users are affected by this issue and the reason it is not clear.
Try he following:

Go to “Date & Time”. Turn off “Set Automatically” and change the time to a different location/time.

Then “Set Automatically” back On again.

FaceTime started to work again for a while. It might stop again to work after a while.
