So I got my new iPad 9 on Christmas, and I wanted to share my thoughts, mostly for those thinking of getting it.

for starters, it has great battery life. I upgraded from the 5th gen, and the 9 has an additional 5+ hours for me.
it also is really fast, I use my iPad everyday for many things, such as school, drawing, entertainment, and facetime. All these things are much faster than the earlier models, even faster than my parents 7th gens. The camera quality on the front camera is great, and even better with ultra-wide. Center stage works better than I expected, and the audio is great too. True Tone works flawlessly, and Apple Pencil is amazingly responsive. Thank you apple for making this amazing product.

Agree with the others. The base iPad is an amazing device for the price. When I got my 7th gen I was impressed with its capabilities for what I paid ($219 during a pre-Black Friday deal) and it was so far beyond any other tablets in the price range (the few that exist). I'm sure the 9th gen is even more impressive!

That is a really good deal. That beats my $269 Walmart employee deal. I can only speak for myself but the budget iPad is the way to go. You get a great bang for the buck and in 2-3 yrs of use you can trade it in to Apple because of their high resale value for another budget iPad. I would not consider any other iPad but the budget. It does everything I need it too.

I was semi considering the 11" iPad Pro because I qualified for the Apple Card and money was burning a hole in my pocket but I scored a brand new 256GB Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ with a free pair of Galaxy Buds 2 during Samsung's Black Friday Event for $379. That was too good to pass up but my preference for tablets has always been the iPad's.

Wow, that's a crazy good deal on an S7+. I wouldn't have been able to walk away from that either.

Every year Samsung has some insane sales on their websites.... the year prior to last year, I picked up a Galaxy Tab S6 (6GB RAM/128GB storage) for $329. book cover case: $15, bookcover keyboard case: $49. The only reason I was able to resist the deal on the S7+ was because the S6 is still so good. :)

Congrats on the iPad 9. I wholeheartedly agree. The 9 is by far the best iPad for the money, IMO. I'm well on my migration plan away from Apple products and services but the siren song of the iPad 9 may cause me to take a pause and pick one up.?
