Regarding the screen quality of the iPad 9, how much difference is there between it and the screen of the mini 5?
Or for those of you who have owned one, between the iPad 9 and 9.7" iPad pro?
I have actually ordered the iPad 9 from Apple but won't get it for around 6 weeks!
I have an iPad mini 5 that I'm thinking of selling as it's just a tiny bit too small for my needs. I also have the old pro.
So just wondering, in real world use, is the iPad 9 screen much worse?

My mom has the mini 5 and I just got the 9 as we'll coming from mini 1.i think the 9 looks great. I mean it's not a 120hz pro but it does the job and I barely have to put my brightness above
25%. The 9.7 pro is about 5 years old so I'm sure the 9 will look a bit nicer and I think it look better than mini5 but the mini form factor is awesome and more portable. The 10.2" screen makes it all worth it to me?

It’d just be the non-lamination, I think. Was the 9.7 Pro your first iPad? Lamination started on the Air 2 I think, so anything older will be a baseline it won’t be worse than and you can see if the gap bothers you.

The iPad Pro 9.7 is fully laminated and has less reflections/glare. I believe it also has wider color gamut but I doubt it's all that noticeable in regular use.

The iPad 9 isn't fully laminated but at least it doesn't collect fingerprints like crazy like the Pro 9.7 does and feels smoother when gliding/swiping.

Some people can't stand tapping noise from the air gap on non-laminated. I've managed to tolerate it and trained myself to use very light taps to generate as little noise as possible.

Overall, I think they both look fine.

In terms of price, specs and size the iPad 9 really fits the bill.

Just so used to laminated screens!

Hoping I will just get used to it.

I do really enjoy my mini 5 but I do really need to consolidate down to one iPad and the mini isn't big enough for everything I use an iPad for.
