I saw that the iPad is shipped with the 20W charger.

As far as I know, the Air 3 had the charging speed closer to 30W for a while.
Any info about that with the 9th gen?

Officially from apple, it’s a max of 20 watts, just like the Air 3. Higher wattage chargers are still considered compatible and some have tested they can get up to 30 watts. The ipad 9 should have the same fast charging support as the air 3
