I have an old iPad with cellular and Wi-Fi (Verizon) model A1460. No longer connected with Verizon.

I know it’s obviously limited with regard to iOS/iPad OS updates but, it will no longer connect to my Wi-Fi. Tried disabling 5ghz band on my eero to try and connect but still says it’s unable to join the network.

I also attempted to connect it to my iPhone hotspot and it won’t connect to that either.

Any thoughts?

The iPad 4th gen supports 5GHz. What version of iOS is it running?

A couple things you might try:
1. Reset Network Settings
2. Erase all content and settings, then set up as new

It’s on 10.3.4

I thought about factory reset but, since I can’t connect to network, it won’t let me turn off find my. Didn’t think I could reset and re-setup if I don’t get that turned off.

Network setting reset didn’t work. Won’t even allow me to reset/erase all content because that requires entering iCloud password. Enter password and get an error that it can’t connect to server….because I’m not connected to internet.

Update on this. Was able to finally connect to my iPhone hotspot via Bluetooth and get iPad back to factory settings.

Still will not connect to Wi-Fi. Perhaps the Wi-Fi radio in the iPad is shot.
