So you want an opinion as to which of 3 non-existent items will be the best for you?

iPad 2G: Not only is there no way to know when it will be out (probably April-June 2011), there's no guarantee it will have a camera.

Adam tablet: Vaporware. To answer your question about apps, who knows?

ChromeOS tablet: Again, vaporware. Nobody has even ventured to guess at the specs on this thing yet.

So which one do you get in time for school? Hmm... How about none of the above?

Is this post serious?

As tempting as it may be to chew OP up for assumptions about non existent devices and speculations he's going into high school.....come on guys he's like 13 or 14...maybe I'm the only young guy on here but I remember clearly what I was like then. OP buy an iPad 3G now, seams to be the best bet for you.

He's Harvard-bound; no room for thin skins there. If he's smart enough to post here then he's certainly smart enough to Google.

1) Buy the current iPad, wait for 2nd gen to come out
2) Sell the 1st gen iPad on Craigslist, upgrade to 2nd gen.
3) ???
4) Profit

Nonsense. There are plenty of good games to waste your life with for the iPad.

Actually I missed his e-penis measuring post about Harvard LOL. Im not impressed, I bet I can pull up one person that went to each ivy league school + the military acedemys and that includes family, being arrogant will not get you anywhere in live and 8th grade classes are a joke OP. Your "high classes" mean zero to me or to anyone on this board for the matter. Continue as you were people.

Let's just say that if all three were available, the answer would probably be iPad anyway.

1) You're asking on the iPad forum.
2) It's pretty much established; SW, accessories, support are guaranteed (and available)
3) It works how it's supposed to, and works well.
4) If all released at around the same time, there's not going to be a massive 'generation gap' between any. In fact, you could probably say the current iPad will have no problem holding it's own against any younger wannabes...
5) ...which brings me to; what more do you want over the current iPad? You get the battery life, touchy screen, software; you really want a camera built in? While I admit it could allow facetime, a dedicated camera is better for pics than what would be a bulky, lower rez option. And for the facetime and rest; get an iPhone! (or other mobile) This goes for any tablet option.
