I am looking for an ipad air 2 back shell compatible with Apple smart cover that has a magnetic strip in the back so that the smart cover can be held by the magnet of the back cover.

The only such cover that I have found is smartshell by speck for ipad air (not air 2). It does however have horrible reviews as many complains that the strip peel off.

Back when I bought my Ipad 3, I got the devicewear union back cover and it worked like a charm with the smart cover. Is there such a cover for ipad air 2? Or would one be coming out soon?

Just get the Kayscase back shell. The SmartCover sticks to the back of the iPad with it on.

Really? I find the Smart Cover barely sticks to back cover with no back cover one. Wouldn't it be worse when adding the kaycase case back cover?

Mine sticks very well even with the Kayscase TPU cover. It seems like the magnets in the Air 2 are stronger then previous generation iPads. Mine sticks very well this setup.
