I use an Air 2 almost exclusively for casting music to my hifi. Im finding the battery is beginning to fade and I don’t know whether it’s as easy as taking the unit to Best Buy/Walmart and getting a new battery or if I need to start shopping for a newer unit?

If casting music is all that you are going to do, then go for the battery replacement.

Just for info sake.... Apple does not replace the battery in an iPad Air 2, instead they give you another (refurbished) unit. Apple charges $99.00 for the service.

Since Best Buy is an authorized Apple Service Repair Provider, they should offer the same service and price. Make sure by giving Apple a call.

Thanks- simple back up of my playlists and take it in. I’ll check with Apple.

I would definitely go with a battery replacement.
