iPad Air iPad Air 2, help, dead?

Hello,

I'm after some hopeful advice to save my iPad.
Long story short I was using it yesterday morning fine and the battery was hovering around 15-20%, I should say I haven't had any issues with it or the battery up until this point. I put the device on charge and then turned it off, I came back an hour later (it normally takes longer to fully charge) but I needed to check a document... Horror, it wont turn on?

I've tried a reset, home and power button, different chargers, connecting to laptop (doesn't detect) left it 24 hours still nothing.

Any suggestions on what else I could try?

Put it into DFU mode and try detecting it with your laptop again.

Thanks, tried the following but nothing happened;

1. The device must be turned off, so press and hold Power button.
2. Connect your device to your laptop or PC. ...
3. Then press and hold together: Home button + Power button for about 10 seconds.
4. Afterwards release Power button and still hold the Home button.

So you're now a week later and no change? Sorry to say but yeah I think that's pretty much it. Take it in to Apple to see if they can diagnose a problem if you want, but given the age (I'm guessing at least 5 years old?) it would probably be easier to get a new one unless there's data on there that isn't backed up that you really need back? Unfortunately the incidence rate of random failures increases as time goes on, so some small chip on the board might have blown. If no luck with Apple, there are third party repair shops that might be able to diagnose which one and maybe fix it if you're desperate.
