I dont know if its just my imagination, but i think my ipad air has white spot like ipad pro 10.5, but it seems to be a little lower, it is really hard to notice it, almost impossible by looking on it in daylight, what do u think about that? I have it only for two weeks...

As I said in another thread, maybe it's an uneven backlight?

Hi Rylior, do you still have the device? If yes is it possible to upload pictures again to see if it grew? (Almost not visible oh your pictures above)

thanks!

I don't see a white spot. If you're not even sure if it's there, is it even a problem? Not sure why people scrutinize their devices just looking for issues.

From apple and device at that price i demand it to be flawless. Looking early for issues is necessary with only 1 year warranty, especially considering that white spot is developing through time after many months, isnt visible for a long time

Im not going to have a faulty device while i can have it replaced for a good one. This should be a flawless device, like all apple products were. Nowadays ipads have really big issues, and thats just unacceptable.

I honestly don't see a white spot.
Here, on my recent pics from other thread, is more visibile. Shadowy lower area is also exposed more.

I still don't see it. Uneven backlight but I don't see a white spot. Maybe you can encircle it or something. It's just not obvious in the photos.

I don’t see anything. Think you’re imagining things.

Relax and enjoy your iPad.

It’s very subtle. Looks very similar to my screen. I too have the dark area on that side of the screen. Problem is once you saw it you can not unsee it anymore.

All LCD screens have this. It’s called the dirty screen effect (dse) google it for more info.

The spot above the home button is 10.5 iPad specific. According posts Apple will exchange the affected units while it is in warranty. But I agree, LCDs are not nice. That’s why I hope micro LED will come soon.

Today I was in Apple store. I got my ipad replaced which was still under warranty. The guy told that the battery might be swollen which presses on the display from behind.
