Carrier iPad Air 2020 eSIM with Verizon

Has anyone had any luck getting the eSIM on the iPad Air 4 (2020) to work with Verizon? It seems like Verizon is still requiring a physical SIM with the iPads, as crazy as that sounds.

Last I checked, eSIM was still for phones only on Verizon. Really quite annoying. Would be great if we can have Verizon on eSIM and reserve the Nano SIM slot for local SIM when traveling (support for eSIM is practically non-existent in some countries).

Nope! As a Verizon customer who has an iPad Pro, it really sucks.
