If you select the 64GB, it's now listed for $549 instead of $599. 256GB is now $699 instead of $749!

Here’s what I don’t get; nothing stops anyone from using the education site and getting it at that price.

I’m actually a teacher and I’ve purchased multiple iPads through the education site. I don’t recall ever being asked to provide any kind of credentials.

It's probably coming sooner or later. In Europe, Apple already partners with UNiDAYS for proof. In North America, Apple will likely use ID.me.

I think in the UK you need to provide a college/ university email address.
