Hi

I'm getting the new Air.
Looking for a case for it.

Does anyone know if the size of it is similar to anything already existing, like the pro?
I mean if an existing case can be used.
Maybe the sizes are not 100% same but still the same case could work?

I think it is the same as the 11" pro form factor since you can just use the same keyboard case with it.

Edit: it looks like I am right.

The size is almost identical to the 11” Pro, except that it is slightly thicker and requires that any case leave the Touch ID button uncovered.

It is nearly identical to the 11” iPad Pro. The difference is 0.02 inches in one dimension and for all intents and purposes is the same size as the 11” Pro and officially fits in Apple’s keyboard cases for the 11” Pro

I looked at that when I wrote my message above, but funny observation now tha I look at it again in your screenshot; It says 7 in and 7.02in in the imperial measurements, but in both cases it’s 178.5mm so that to me suggests the 7in number is just less precise and they are in fact 100% identical in physical dimensions

Yea that is strange.

I just checked the danish comparison chart of those two ipads.
The width is the same.
So.. it's just slightly thicker.
But that touch id on power button could make most old cases not usable. Not sure

That last point is important. I've already seen cases on Amazon that were clearly made for the 11" Pro that claim to be compatible with the Air 4, but you can see in the photos that the power button is covered, rendering TouchID unusable.
