iPad Air iPad Air 4 bent out of the box

Just unboxed my new iPad Air 4th gen and immediately noticed it has a slight bend! It is slighty concave when the screen is facing up.

Anyone else having this issue? I know the iPad Pro's have had some problems with this but I thought they would have sorted this out by now...

Could be a faulty battery from the factory, that is pushing the screen. To Apple ASAP.

Yes, I was afraid of that. Quality control seems to very low these days. Last week I got the new iPhone 12 Pro and the screen has a slightly uneven brightness... Probably within the specs but still noticable.

Tried to take a photo of it but it was almost impossible to see something because I wasn't able to get the whole edge in focus. Now it has been packed in the box waiting for a return. Sorry...

Sent mine back moments after getting it (3 week wait to :-/ ) - bend could be clearly spotted in the box. Seems Apple QA is poor at the moment, I've got a off centre tip on new apple pencil ( v1 ), new ipad mini 5 with faulty headphone socket, imac keyboard failing after 15 months. The Xr turned up ok though.

I've not reordered, it was for studying - gonna stick to the Mini ( that i also need to send back .. :-/ ), maybe in the new year if the bending reports are thin on the ground.

Ok. I have not seen any other reports about this issue so I guess it is not that common. Have you heard about anyone else getting a bent Air 4?

In the end I did reorder and picked up the new one today ( mini is a bit small for some of my work ) - seems straight against holding it flat on the underside of my desk.

Very disappointed to say the least. Apple QC these days are not what they used to be. I have now decided to wait a month or two or maybe go for the iPad Pro instead.

totaly agree with you about apple qc..i will wait also for a few months to see the new ipad pro,the problem is i was planning to buy the new m1 macbook air,but after i found this bend i decided to wait and see more customers reviews not the youtubers reviews.

Just found out about it and went straight to see mine and I got the disappointment.
One side is straight the other is bent.

And here I am, wondering whether to sell my replacement 10.5 iPP and get Ipad 4 just to risk it being bent out of shape with horrible backlight bleed
