iPad iPad Air 4 in Store Availability

Does anyone know if the iPad Air 4 will be available in stores tomorrow? When Apple Watch series 6 came out, it seemed like no Best Buys or Targets had them on release day.

I was at Best Buy earlier and asked the guy working in the Apple section. He had no clue what the iPad Air was even though there was a giant sign of it behind him.

Almost created this same thread. I ordered the space grey but now am having regrets and should have purchased the silver. I can wait but if I could get it in store that would be great. I am assuming they will have supply. There were many articles that stated stores had received early shipments. Best thing to check bright and early tomorrow.

The concern might be with the release of the iPhone 12 they may not offer the ability for in store pickup. Might be too busy for them.

That's sure quite the possibility. They scheduled me to pick up my iPad at my local apple store Saturday morning. Ordered mine about 45 min after the preorders started.

He’s right. Best bet is to call in tomorrow or check the store yourself. I think there will be a high chance though as a lot of people would rather get it shipped due to the pandemic.

Is it possible to pickup a preorder tomorrow morning when the store opens if your check-in window is on Sunday? Just got a Ready for Pickup e-mail.

I don't see why not. If you miss the window you also have 2 weeks to pick it up. Never got why they require a 15 minute anyway if you can just go and pick it up after missing your window.

How about thousands of people, no matter the pick up time and date, just show up at Apple stores on the morning of a iPhone 12/ iPhone12 pro/ iPad Air release day outside of their SELF CHOSEN pick up date and time. It would be utter chaos don't you think? There is a reason why you have an allotted window for pickup.

The wifi 64 gb model is prob the most popular configuration so the fact that no stores have any stock in NYC sounds pretty accurate to me. The stock they have is most likely already spoken for via a pre order (which were open for a full week). You may be able to get certain color/s configurations in store as a walk it but it probably wont be the one you want exactly.

I went this morning and there was no lineup whatsoever. The specialist told me the ready for pickup e-mail means its ready in-store no matter your check in window and gave me the iPad in less than 5 minutes.

If the store near you is not swamped I would give it a shot. If you know its going to be busy try to avoid it and follow social distancing

I bought a 64gb iPad Air from Best Buy this morning. I’m in the DFW area and looked like all the Best Buys pretty much got 1 to 2 of them.

I’m upgrading from an iPad Pro 9.7 and it is amazing. I never realized how much faster and smoother the air would be. I also love the larger beautiful screen. I was also surprised by how light it is.
