I just picked up this new iPad and from what I have noticed, notifications preview show when unlocked is of no use on this device because once you place your finger on touchID the device goes to the some screen automatically. anyway around this or am I just going to have to use show always to Be able to interact with notifications on the home screen?

Might have answered my own question now, but if you interact with a notification on the lock screen you can use touchID and stay on the lock screen and not go directly into the home screen.

Yeah, you'll probably have to work with that. I don't think there's any way to change the behavior.

So turns out that if you place your finger on the sensor for a split second it will unlock but not go straight into the home screen.
