recently i bought ipad air and apple pencil (gen 1). Was able to pair them successfully. However i am not able to take a sceenshot using the pencil. the pencil does not behave as expected when i move it from bottom right corner towards center. anyone knows why?

That should not be it, as in iPadOS you can take a screenshot by moving the pencil from one of the bottom corners from the very edge toward the centre. I have no idea why it wouldn't work though.
iPad Air 3 user here. Apple Pencil 1.
