I saw that. But if I'm going to buy a new one, what wattage should I look for?
My 2020 iPad Air came with a 20W charger and I believe the higher end iPads can support until 30W or soI saw that. But if I'm going to buy a new one, what wattage should I look for?
Get her a 12W power adapter. That is what the device originally came with.I saw that. But if I'm going to buy a new one, what wattage should I look for?
She' using a 5W block.
How much higher wattage can a 2019 iPad Air take?
The 5W doesn’t work for the recent iPhones either. My 11 Pro takes a lifetime to charge on the 5W brick while the default 18W makes my life bearable. The 5W brick is really just for iPhones (and slow charging at that). Even the 10-12W bricks that ship with iPads take more than 3 hours for full charge with no usage.
Measured power draw from the wall with a 60W USB-C PD charger:
2017 Pro 12.9: 30W
2017 Pro 10.5: 30W
2019 Air 3: 30W
2019 iPad 7: 15W
