iPad Air, iPad mini 2, & iPhone 5S: How is HEIF Live Photo and 1080p 8-bit HEVC playback?

I am curious. How well do HEIF Live Photos and 8-bit HEVC 1080p videos play on the A7 based iDevices? My mother-in-law has an iPhone 5S and I’m wondering if my iPhone 7 Plus’ Live Photos will play smoothly on her phone.
