I get 3 hours of battery life from M1 iPad Air. It is terrible and the ONLY thing I use it for is reading a newspaper online for about 45 minutes to an hour. After 3 days I need to recharge as I am below 10%. This thing has a lousy battery life.
How does the M2 Air do? Maybe upgrade to M3 down the road any suggestions?

If I just want maximum battery life is it better to buy the regular iPad 10 or 11?
I really dont use the power of the Air very much...

The ipad should get about 10 hours with typical usages (like yours). Different iPad (regular, Air, Pro) have also similar battery life. Their differences are mostly on size, screen and speaker quality.
If I were you, I would try reset and reinstall the apps one by one, and sees which apps consumed highest power.

Caveat there, I get ~10 hours on-screen time on my iPads but it randomly has huge standby battery drain. Like, 15-30% drain overnight without use (culprits being Home, Find My and Siri).

It’s a software issue and not really a battery issue. When I enable airplane mode, the massive standby drain goes away.

What I just do is connect the iPads to a smart plug before going to sleep and schedule charging around 1 hour before I wake up. That way, it’s charged when I need it.
