I am very interested in purchasing an iPad Air 4th gen. It appears that Amazon currently has a couple of the colors on sale for $499, although backordered by a couple of weeks. Just hoping to confirm that this seems to be one of the better prices out there currently and other than the wait no reason to not go through Amazon?

Thanks!

Best Buy has the 64GB in all colors for $499. It's available for in-store pickup today, or shipping for delivery tomorrow. Also Best Buy will price match Amazon (as will other local retailers like Target).

Best Buy. Where I live, you can pick it up in store today (or have it shipped in a couple of days)

You gotta love SlickDeals. Links you to good sales as well as usually tells you where this sale price is in relation to the cheapest price they've seen. This gives you great insight into how low the price has gone. Just know that, IME, really good sales price deals go VERY quick. If you see a sweet deal you generally have to jump on it right then. Otherwise, generally, if I want something and it is in the ballpark of lowest price seen I'll jump on it.

IMHO always check Apple refurb store too. Models that have been out less than a year often means you are in effect getting a new device, and it comes with the return window and 1 yr warranty.

$499 = £362. That is an amazing deal for the Ipad Air 4, you guys in the US are so lucky. I paid £430 ($591) for mine, but that was due to a £150 voucher from my work place, otherwise would have been the full £579 RRP Day 1 purchase price.

I am moving to the UK in a month, and I had not decided whether to buy an iPad before leaving or not. But seeing that it costs £579 ($796) definitely helped make my mind up. That conversion rate is brutal going from the US to UK.
