Guys,

Wondering if you most you would prefer an iPad air smart case with 3 flaps or 4 flaps? and state your reasoning.

I have both and I find both are equally useful. I also have the original Apple Smart case, and they are somewhat flimsier on portrait than their counterparts as shown.

4 flaps allows you to do two things that 3 fold doesn't allow
-fold it in half behind to keep it closed that way
-have an overlap when you put it in the stand mode to be more secure

On the other hand, 3 flaps allow you to fold up the cover and place it in your pocket because it is slimmer, and allow you to use it as a grip when folded back on the case

say what? that's not true

How is it not true? I keep my smart cover in my pocket all the time when I am outside... and when I have it attached I fold it into it's self and use it as a grip on the left side

You can't fold the case into your pocket.

it sticks out, but it still fits fine width wise... in fact on some shorts and pants I have with deep pockets I can fit the whole cover and it doesn't even stick out at all

Yes, cover..this thread is talking about the Smart Case, not Smart Cover.
