I just got an iPad Air and would like to get a nice stand for it. I also plan on getting a keyboard to do some typing (in front of TV, etc) when I'm away from my desktop. The 2 models I'm interested in are the Slope and the MiStand

MiStand

It looks like the MiStand can pivot to almost any position, which is great, but I honestly don't know how often I'll need to change the angle of it. When I'm typing, I won't. But maybe if I'm in the kitchen and am looking at a recipe, I might. I'm also worried that the rotating magnetic ball on the MiStand won't be so secure and might slip a little. Of course, there's also the issue of cost. The Slope is on sale right now for $48. I don't know if there's tax to CA or shipping costs. The MiStand comes from UK, and will be $90 shipped to USA. That's A LOT of money for a stand, but for the right one, it might be worth it. Any thoughts?

I'd throw another one into the mix...the Coolermaster Wave stand..It's really sturdy, portable and protects the iPad well:

Hmm... thanks for the rec, but for that money, I'd rather just get one of the ones I mentioned.

$90US for the MiStand is a lot of money, but if it works as advertised and doesn't have problems with slippage of the magnet, then it'll be worth it to me. So versatile. But if that magnetic ball slips and the iPad is constantly moving out of position, then I'd be pretty disappointed.

i like both of these, and don't think you can go wrong with either. however, the prices are way too high for me. and the slope will definitely have shipping costs
