Ipad air2

I can pinch and close all my other pages I have open , but when I try to pinch and close my email page it won't close . It is a new iPad Air 2 and it worked at first but now the email page won't close when I try to pinch it to close .
 
Go into Settings>Multitasking and check that Gestures is on. I think mine went to off after the last update because it was off and I don't recall doing that.

Just tried it and it is on ,so I turned it off then back and its still not working.

It might be a greasy screen, too dirty to properly detect all touches? Have you tried cleaning? Have you restarted?

It's an old joke that people say whenever someone is having trouble with an Apple device. If you want to know the story behind it, look up the iPhone 4 and "antenna-gate".
