I have a question regarding my mail set up and I am not sure if it is best placed here or elsewhere.

I would like to set it up so that any changes I make to gmail on Mac Mail (on my MacBook) are reflected to my iPad and vice versa. It is tiresome to delete the same email on the computer and then again on the iPad. Is this something that can be corrected?

Thanks.

On your MacBook you can set a preference so it deletes the email from the server after receiving it, though then it will only be received on one device

Google has instructions on their website about how to setup gmail on iDevices so that archiving and deleting messages is reflected properly over all platforms. (iPad and MacBook) Dont use the Gmail button on setup, it doesnt do the deletion properly. Follow this guide. https://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=77702

Thanks. I just checked my gmail and realized I have both IMAP and POP downloaded enabled. Should I keep POP downloading enabled?
