How well do you think Gmail and Google Docs will work in Safari on the iPad? Are these Flash apps or regular apps? I prefer using Gmail via the web over accessing it via IMAP plus I've been using Docs a lot lately. I don't see any reason they shouldn't work fine on the iPad, but wanted to see what you all think.

You should be fine. They are not flash. :)

Well that is good news. It looks like I would be able to do everything on the iPad that I do on my Mac except for Quicken.

If you have an iPhone you can try it yourself - if it works on the iPhone it'll probably work on the iPad.

Well they don't work on my iPhone, at least Docs doesn't work well. You can go to the desktop site but whenever you select a document, it takes you to the mobile site.

Quicken is on the iPhone/iPad too :)

I assume they'll remake it more suited to the iPad's bigger screen.

Just FYI, that app works with Quicken Online and not the Quicken desktop software. Also, Quicken Online is being discontinued in favor of Mint.com, a recent Intuit acquisition.
