I have two weeks of AppleCare+ left on my iPad Pro, and my screen is pretty scratched up but not cracked. Anyone know if I can bring it in and pay the $49 fee to have the screen replaced? Or will they say it's not actually cracked, in which case I will need to bring a hammer and smash the screen in front of the Genius? ?

Smash it while they aren't looking. ;)

Yeah, that's not a fraudulent activity.

I’ve been told numerous times that you can choose when you want to use your replacements. The deal is, once you run out of replacements, you cannot use anymore obviously. Therefore, you may regret using it for something cosmetic in some cases.

If Apple even allows replacement for cosmetic stuff is news to me. Their policy is to reject those claims and I experienced it once already ... had a screen with a deep scratch that I thought was a crack. The genius inspected it and showed me that it was ‘only’ a scratch and they would not replace the screen.

Interesting. I’ve asked before about a screen replacement on the store for cosmetic damage, and I was told that I could do it. Granted, I’ve not tried to do one. I just asked about it. Maybe they’d have denied it, had a moved forward and requested to use one of my claims.
