Bought a couple of iPad airs to use as a access point in our office to view our website. Keep it locked via accessibility option under general settings.

Just wondering what the life span is if used like this given its on 24 hours a day with the display on and charger in constantly, as its in a lockable stand.

I don’t think anybody here can answer that. Seeing it’s mostly consumers in these forums.

We’ve got a couple of iPads in our test labs running automated tests. They’ve been going non stop for 6 months without issues.

No idea but it seems like the failure point will be the display. I’ve recently seen kiosks (not sure if they’re on 24/7 though) with original iPads, so I think they will last you a long time. I probably wouldn’t upgrade the iOS version very often though, so that they don’t slow down that way.
