iPad as iphoto backup?

Is it able to use iPad as iphoto backup in case computer failure or stolen? Are synchronized photos are exactly same as the ones on Mac?

The photos are resized before being moved to the iPad. So no I would not rely on it as a backup device

Get a harddrive and use the built in Time Machine

Of course, check to see whether your backup is any good or not before relying on it.

After you start TM... then subscribe to an online backup service. They are very inexpensive... and it is a great service to have automatic offsite backup. I recommend Mozy and Crashplan as two good services.
