Hi all

Just taken my iPad to the Genius Bar for a screen issue. The Genius ran the full suite of diagnostics available, and of particular note to me was this part:

Applications have aborted more often than expected because the iPhone has begun to run low on application memory.*

For whatever reason the diagnostic tool thinks it is an iPhone connected, but it was very much an iPad. More fuel for the 'iPad doesn't have enough RAM' fire? Even Apple have it written that the device runs short of RAM a lot.

Yep, I expect the next iPad to have 512mb of RAM at least--possibly more. Keep in mind the iPad has been out since the Spring and was the first of its kind. It's due for an update this Spring if not sooner.
