How did you manage to... where.. what did...

Well then. What are you planning to do with all these iPads? Gifts?

Error? :)

There is a major error in progress on your MacBook's screen :)

Nice collection by the way, if you have any iSpares I will gladly provide my address.

Grtz.

There is zero avalibilty issue. Bestbuy for one are told by apple to tell customers stock is low or even out of stock when infact they are not. But funny that I was able to buy 3 ipads when just walking into the store each time I went in and had zero pre orders and this was after I had called and was told they had none in stock. The store cabinets were full with the dam things. This was also right after the guy told me they only had one 32gb in stock. I walked out with a 64 and that 32gb must have been duplicating it's self as whilst there numerous other people were cueing in the checkout with a iPad!!! Apple are using the same technique that nintendo used for the Wii and it worked so well for nintendo.

Yes. The well-known business strategy of pretending you have no items to sell. Because not selling them is better than selling them. Wait, what?

I live in the Philly area and had no luck for at least a week leading up to the June 6th unlimited data cutoff. I was scrambling for a week to find an iPad at the area Apple and Best Buy stores with no luck. There are 4 Apple stores and 3 Best Buy (only select stores carried iPads) stores in my area.

You had some good luck or low sales volume in your area.

Just like apple use crowed shaping at there stores apple also use selling tactics. Just because they tell random customers they have none in stock or low stock it does nothing to affect sales numbers except increase them. People want what everyone else wants because it's sold out. Just like the wii everyone bought one just because there friends did. Everyone I know with a wii now don't no oonger use it because they didn't really want it. Also why do you think when you call best buy they are not allowed to tell you how many are in stock and not allowed to reserve them. Even the guy in the store told me that they have to lie about how many they really have in stock even if that means a customer walk out without one. Reason being is it makes it look like demand is extremely high. The next person who comes in will be told they have only one 32 gb in stock even though when I was there I see a cabinet full of all 3 models so I took a 64gb. They will sell out each day even if they tell customers stock is low or none.

Also the best buy that sells them in this area is the only one in a 50 mile radius that sells them. They are surround by apples biggest customers "college/uni students" and I have been able to walk in of the street 4 times in total and buy one. Even though most of them times they had none in stock!

Also apples rules of only being able to buy one is bull crap. I purchased 2 in one go on the same credit card and one guy had a cart with about 12 in. Clearly selling them for over inflated prices on eBay and craigslist. Supply and demand, supply and demand.

So let me get this right, to punish apple for lieing about stock levels you purchased more ipads?

Thats really sticking it to them

No I purchased one to start with then returned it because of wi-fi issues and again the same on the second and that's when I also purchased my bro in laws iPad. The thing that pisses me of his that his wi-fi functions fine and I'm on my 3rd one and still having issues.

It just doesn't make sense to me that they would tell people they are out of stock if they aren't. People who find out they are out of stock are already people who want it...otherwise why would they be asking? It isn't like someone is going to walk into a store and a clerk is going to randomly say hey guess what the iPad is sold out and then that someone is going to say omg I need to have an iPad now.
