Hello

I am considering purchasing an ipad, since i have basic computing needs(safari, itunes etc) and i have a limited budget, this may be a good choice.

If I do purchase an ipad it will be my only computer system.

My main consern would be what would happen if I lost or damaged the ipad and therefore lost all my media content, saved photos, itunes files etc.

Is it possible to back up the content of the ipad without another computer.

I appreciate this may be a dumb question, but I wouldnt call myself an expert when it comes to computing.

Any help you can offer would be welcomed.

Thanks

Unfortunately no. What you should do is buy an external hard drive to copy the information to incase of a problem. But in all reality you need a computer to sync the iPad to to do regular backups and software updates. Just get a netbook or some to accompany the iPad.
