iPad battery issues?

I have only had my iPad a couple of week and absolutely love it (except for iPhoto not syncing with it for some reason!). Also very excited for ios4 as the multi tasking support would be much appreciated.

Anyway I am running the 3G 32 version with push email and fetch every 15 minutes for my two email accounts. I normally view websites, chat on IM+ and a few YouTube videos.

I am getting approximately 6-7 hours of usage with it, 90% I'm on wifi (with connection issues at random points). I also have brightness on max most of the time.

Is this normal battery life?

For max brightness, yes. I've never had it past the midpoint, which is plenty bright and should probably add 3 hours of life.
