iPad battery life

I looked at the iPad forum but I couldn't find a thread about iPad battery life.

Could we together poll here to get the general idea about this?

Seems to be around the claimed 10 hours for me. We used it all day (14+ hours) with wifi, web, kindle app, YouTube here and there and got it down to 20% battery the Sunday after we bought it. We weren't steaming HD movies and it had 1/2 hour breaks now and then.

I'm more worried about how many recharge cycles the battery has. I don't want to have to replace it once a year... I wouldn't mind if it lasted 3+ years. We'll have to wait and see.

I think I made a bad poll.

Usually the battery life is shorter than the stated value. iPad stated 10h so I think the option "more than 9 hours" is the maximum one. However, it looks like iPad battery is really amazing.

If you have 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and more... could you please drop a line in this topic to let us know?

Maybe they were using the jumper cable kit with the iCan'tStartMyCar app? That app really drains the iPad battery.

I've charged it once since i got it on Saturday and definitely used it close to 12 hours before I charged it the first time.

Same here...I've only charge mine once since Saturday.

Heavy use I get around 7-8 but generally I get 10-12 per normal use. First night I fully charged it I got 8 straight hours of HEAVY use!
