This goes to show how the iPad was received by the majority of people. What I find particularly interesting is the fact that the much hyped Android has less browser usage than the iPad.
Having said that, I don't know how Net Applications measures Android browser share. Are they counting all browsers available on the platform?

I'm not sure I believe it.

Doesn't seem to tell you what the sample is, how the data was collected or anything really.

Clicks or it aint real.

Well, I think we should believe it. These reports are the industry standard and the company has the acceptance of the whole industry.

Still, I do agree with Shoesy. I am not disputing their findings, but unless they disclose the method and the sample size that the data is based on, I will not put too much credence to their findings.

For my aged eyes, ipad browsing is a joy whereas with iphone, it feels like my eyes are popping out after a few minutes.

+1

Never planned on it, but after using the ipad for awhile.. I sold the droid and went back to a standard phone for texting/calling.. I have no use for a smartphone now.

So based on the stats posted
ipad 0.17% of web traffic
android 0.14%
ipod touch at 0.12%

Are we really talking about a combined half of a percentage here.

The stats are also an estimate derived from netmarketshares "partners" which is only 160 million users a month. The point being that the majority of sites are mostly flash laden and aren't ideal to be viewed on a mobile browser.
