iPad + case on order. If I cancel case, will my order be delayed?

I notice that the Apple iPad case seems to be in short supply in the US. I don't want anything to delay my iPad UK delivery on the 28th of May. I have noticed that my order status makes a note that my order will be shipped when all items are available.

If the case is not available, do you think my order will be held back?
If I cancel this particular line of my order, will my whole order be re-evaluated and given a new shipping date? (aaaargh 7th of June!!!!)

Appreciate your thoughts and experiences please.
 
If you cancel case, order will NOT be delayed.

If case is delayed, iPad will NOT be.
 
I did something similar when I got my original ipod touch, an accessory change - not a cancel, and it moved my order to the back of the list and I got my ipod touch nearly 3 weeks after a friend who ordered at the same time

OK. That has scared the sweet bejesus out of me. I'm not gonna cancel the case! Fingers crossed it is available with the iPad, or they ship separately like Doju advises.
 
Better to be safe than sorry. I'd rather leave the whole order alone and return the case at a later time than have the ipad order be delayed because of how they may have to change things in their system to process your request, effectively bumping you down the list.

Edit: Also, they're not going to not ship your ipad if the case happens to not be available. The case would just ship at a later time.

I want the case. I'm just worried that it will delay the order if they are in short supply, even more so than the iPads.
 
OP says the order states it will ship when all items are available. It may be different to EU. My US 3G order, the apple guy told me that 3Gs ship from US not China. My 3G comes June 2, and my case comes like June 17.
may be different to Europe. don't know.

Why not just call Apple and ask them? Doesn't that make more sense?

I did this with my April 26 order. Canx Apple case and Camera attachment (found them both in store).

No impact
