It seems like a good idea to reserve myself a little corner of these forums in which to draw attention to my recent flood of iPad reviews.

Right off the cuff, I'd like to say that I'm digging the flip-style case from Piel Frama as an all-rounded, but I've looked at some good cases. Silicone shells don't really do it for me, but are not left out.

Without further ado:

Case Mate Gelli

Proporta Maya II

Tuff-Luv Multi-view (Currently the best buy, I think)

There's little crossover between these cases, apart from the Mizu Shell/Case-mate Gelli. The Gelli is generally nicer than the Mizu shell but a whole £10 more expensive.

If you want dead-sexy style the Vaja offering is currently topping out everything else, but £120/$170 is a hard pill to swallow.

Piel Frama's book-style case works as a stand in two orientations and looks very professional, but it's around £90 which is also quite a spend.

Be.Ez have, thus far, the most absurdly protective case I've encountered. Seriously, there's more padding in there than a memory-foam mattress topper.

The Maya II has a matching iPhone slip case and is really quite well padded.

More to come soon, including some shinies from Beyza and Noreve.

Let me know if a case has caught your eye and you want it critiqued.

Edit: Just added a link to my review of the Tuff-Luv Multi-view. It's not my favourite aesthetically, but it definitely represents the best value/feature trade off, being £39.99 and having a built-in 5 position stand. It'll no-doubt get a lot of use.

iLounge did an extremely good recap of a TON of cases not long ago. Based on their recommendation, I bought a Macally Metrolpad case. Received it yesterday and it is AWESOME... much better than the Apple iPad case, which seemingly gets dirty just sitting on a countertop.

I'll have to try and give it a look. I'm not surprised that the Apple case isn't much cop, but it's sensible for them to offer some protection for a device with such an expansive screen and no clamshell.

I've just got a great case/stand in from Tuff Luv which is the first I've seen that has an array of poppers to snap the stand into really securely. It does, however, look a bit like an iPad bondage accessory. But, hey, some people are into that!

I'm still using a PDair case and like it but I'm also considering getting a Piel Frama case. They look very nice and the magnets stlye closure is great.

I really want a black one w/tan inside color. I'm still looking for a few good video reviews of one.

Edit* just read your review. Now it's worse :( I am probably going to order one very soon. It's the only way to find out if I will like one.

I bought an InCase Protective Cover silicon skin type case the day I bought the iPad, due to lack of options in the store. I like it okay. It leaves the face unprotected. It makes it easier to hold. However, it has no features to speak of.

I kept looking for an Apple case, because I like the idea of being able to close it up with the glass protected. I still couldn't find one a few days ago, but on Apple Store employee recommendations, I picked up an InCase Convertible Book Jacket. I like it a lot, though sometimes I find myself missing the simplicity of the Protective Cover ... which I still have and may resume using in some cases.

I have yet to see the Apple case in person ... but per the Apple Store employees, the Convertible Book Cover is similar but more substantial and less prone to getting dirty.

I bought the Belkin one in the store. I like it. It has some grip to it. I also got a thin sleeve from sfbags, for when I have to throw the iPad in a backpack or something.

If you haven't bought one yet, I'll see if I can give you a video once-over of the case. In my personal opinion, though, it's absolutely superb and the shallow angle stand is very good. It's not so stable when stood upright, though, but it's not like the iPad needs any force to interact with.

That would be great, thanks. I actually think the Ostrich Case looks amazing but Wow big $.
