iPad is coming tomorrow like most on here and i just thought, i wonder if the iPad charger will work with the iPhone?

Might be a bit annoying having to have two sockets for the phone and iPad.

I imagine it will, but it may take a while due to the much larger batteries. My iPad 1 charges in ~1 hour off it's own charger, ~2 hours off of the iPhone 4 charger.

Charges the phone in about half the time as the iPhone charger.

Works for me as well. It even charges the iPhone faster, at least I think it does.

Of course it works with the iPhone and the iPhone charger works with the iPad. As already mentioned the iPad charger charges the iPhone in probably less than half the time.

Now with the new iPad, using the iPhone charger would only frustrate you based on the reports that hours have been added to the iPads charging time.

Thanks guys, i wasn't sure if it would be over powered or not, will try it out tomorrow, was just worried about damaging the iPhone battery.

the iPhone will only take as much power as it needs/can.

and just for the people who will worry no matter what anyone says:
