Ok so i know that ipad's are not charging with older MacBooks via USB.

But I am trying to charge my iPad with the 10w charger while using it. My battery is going from 17% to 18% to 17% ... Back and forth. Will iPad not charge while in use? Of note I am using a longer USB cable to connect to the 10w iPad charger but that shouldn't make a difference, no?

How long is it taking people to charge iPad and is it charging for you while in use?

Ok switched to the original iPad wall charger. Battery percentage still not rising while in use. Anyone else noticing this? Maybe iPad cannot be used while charging since it uses so much power?

I did notice that the device seems to charge very slowly when it is on, even when using the 10w charger. I guess this is the flip side of the large battery capacity - it lasts a long time, but also take a long time to replenish.

So how long to recharge the battery? My hunch is 4 hours.
