Love it, Hate it, Feel ambivalent. No matter how you slice it - it's clear, like with any product people have differing opinions. Looking at all the threads and how passionate people are about their opinions and about everyone else's opinions - I think it's important to remember that everyone is entitled to their opinion. And claiming people are fan boys, or trolls, or telling people their opinion doesn't matter or WHATEVER is just silly.

You can disagree with what a poster says. You can offer your insight. But telling people to get over it, get a life, stop the hate, stop the idol worship - all if it should really stop.

It's hypocritical for anyone here (including myself) to think their opinion is the one that counts and imply that anyone who differs from that opinion is wrong, an idiot, etc.

It doesn't matter if you've had every Apple product or are thinking of buying your first.

I'm not sure what you mean since my post was clearly that whatever your opinion is - it's just as valid as those who "argue" against you. So yes - it goes both ways. ALL people should try and remember that...

nothing new to MR, sam. I just read what everyone has to say, and just move on..

In the end, only I will decide whether or not I shall invest in apple's new release

I totally agree with you. Everyone can have their own opinions, and we just need to respect them.

I agree. people are getting a lil crazy on this subject. The people that are calling it a "fail" really can't talk, because it isn't out yet so we don't know what the final product will be. everyone criticising it because of the lack of flash or multitasking, but it might have those when it ships. we just don't know yet. People also need to realize that the iPad isn't made just for them. Apple clearly thinks that a lot of people will want this product, and apologizes for not taking their personal needs and wants into consideration. Some people will love this when it comes out, others will have no use for it, and Apple couldn't care less because they feel that the people who want it will outnumber those who don't. I'm not saying it will be the greatest thing since sliced bread, but for me, it looks great. I don't have a laptop, so having a more portable laptop with built-in internet would be very convinient, especially for when I go to college

I am glad I can inspire new threads.

These "opinions" have gone stale. They have been repeated over and over and over. We get the point. Some people hate it. Move on with your life.

Whining about how Apple did not give you what you wanted isn't adding to the discussion. Nor is posting threads that reference "fanboys" and other nonsense.

You inspired nothing. I had written this (just not posted) much earlier today. But your "paranoia" is welcome.

The point is for both sides to stop whining about the other side's opinions. Accept that someone else has a different view and move on.

The hypocrisy is ridiculous. We get it Calderone. You like the iPad. And that's great. Stop trying to tell others that your opinion is more important or that you don't want to read their opinion. If you don't want to read it. Don't. Stop putting the onus on someone else.

Ok, I normally dont post in here, but just wanted to add my 2 cents.

People will always agree or disagree with new products... remember all the power-tripping when the iTouch 3g was released with no camera? And with the MacBook Air costing more all becuz it can fit in a manilla envelope?

At the end of the day.. it is another device.. its not the cure to cancer or the end to world hunger, so frankly all this hyper-ventilation is absolutely worthless, as the release of the iPad is not the end of the world.

New devices will come and go, as other devices will come to the foreground.. heck.. when the iPad is out, it will be old news as the developers all ready would have a new product in the making.

And again as I said.. I am the consumer, and only I can decide whether I want to buy it or not.

Get over it! Get a life! We have our opinions, let's respect that

Hmm. There was no "paranoia." But whatever makes you feel better about yourself.

Did I say (in the posts you read) "I like the iPad." No, I didn't. I was simply responding to bogus rehashed arguments against it.

Did I say my opinion is more important? No. I was simply pointing out the pointlessness of posting their opinion when: 1) The same things have been said many times 2) Many of their opinions are based on inaccurate information and 3) They wrap their post up in childish language with the usage of terms like "fanboy" and "Maxi pad."

Instead of joining the existing discussions and discussing it like an adult. They prefer to make troll posts.

For someone who is standing on the soapbox, you sure aren't very perceptive and you seem to love assumptions. You seem to want me to add insight to posts that included no insight. You also seem to want me to waste time trying to defend the iPad with my insight to people who use words like "fanboy." No thanks. I would rather point out how much of a waste of life they are.

iPad Air = iPod Touch. The only innovation was supersizing... if that's considered an innovation.

Now if they actually came out with a real tablet (with os x or an OS with open apps), then I'll bet that the iPad wouldn't be as controversial as it is.

All I can say is good luck with that. It's a waste of time - but it's your time to waste. They aren't being productive with a conversation - but you really aren't going to change their mind or their behavior by responding to it. It becomes an endless loop.

Again I submit - wouldn't it be better to just not respond in those threads at all? How many threads do you think a troll will start if no one responds. Not many before the moderators ban them for spamming. But the second the thread turns into a conversation back and forth, the thread has a life.

But do what you want. This is only my opinion.

Just par for the course. What you will find is the same people b-itching about the iPad now will be the one's b-itching about their pre-ordered iPad not being at their door at 6:00 the day it is released.

There are 3 types of people here:

1) those who so jacked up the iPad with specs that were never gonna happen in the form factor and at the price of the iPad in 2010 that they cannot stop bitching about it
2) those who took a wait and see approach, then started bitching about the iPad
3) those who, after released specs, and upon honest, intellectual consideration, accept it for what it is and will either buy it or pass

If you are in groups 1 and 2 please send your suggestions to Apple and stop gumming up MacRumors with the same tired whining.
