IPad Contacts App does not display Contacts

On the IPad I am continually losing my contacts screen. Just blank page comes up & i have to restart IPad to get the app running again with contacts showing

Any help appreciated

You may need to do a restore since that app is 'built in'. Also not sure you would want to do the restore from a back up since it may still cause the same problems. Which would be a bummer if you use a lot of other apps with a lot of info or files.
