People Are All Around The Board With The iPad. Could It Be That Some People Think It's Possible That The Success Of The iPad Will Depend On What The Developer Do With The iPad SDK? I Mean Apple Is Putting It Out With Virtually Nothing But The Redesigned Essentials Like Mail And Web, But The Only Thing That Really Sets It Apart Is The Direct-Download Applications (NetBook Dont Do/Have), NONE Of Witch Are Set Up SPECIFICALLY For The iPad. So Wouldn't It be Safe To Assume That The iPad Will be Complete Crap Until The Implement Either
A. A Custom Store (Like the Book Store) For iPad Apps
B. Alot More Apps Targeted Directly At The iPad

I Dont Know You Tell me.

Its exactly like the iPhone ... No one but Apple fans and techies got the expensive iPhone when it came out.. And people laughed at the WEB APPS.

Once the App Store opened and people saw the power of the device, the iPhone exploded.

Now history repeats itself with the iPad. People are laughing that its a big iPod that can run iPhone/iPod apps. But once developers WHO ARE EXCITED about this device start creating apps like we've never seen before, the iPad will also take off and become more mainstream.

+1 vote!

I'm going to get one because I want to read ebooks, and do some light browsing. I also want access to all the iPhone apps I have already purchased.

I remember when the iPod Touch came out, you couldn't do a whole lot with it because it was so locked down. THEN they came out with the App store and now it's an amazing device.

I know it's going to be the same, I just wish Apple wasn't so strict on what it does and doesn't allow as far as apps and content are concerned. At least they aren't telling us what we can't watch/read/listen to.

Think about the name for a minute. iPad.

Launching Pad for all kinds of creative new apps......

IMHO the iPad's success depends greatly on how developers take advantage of this larger new device with more screen real estate. As more and more creative apps are made available, the more desirable this device will be.
