So my iPad crashed. And none the buttons work. I can't power if off because the power button does not do anything at this point; and it won't show up in iTunes when I plug it in. Should I just let it run out of battery?

Thanks!

Push and hold the home button and the sleep button at the same time. Hold it for at least like 10 seconds, until you see the white apple showing the iPad is booting up.

Doesn't work.

The standard reset procedure does not work.

Well try to just put it in the charger and just leave it there for 10-15 minutes and don't mess with it. In fact, just maybe leave it alone overnight and see if it starts working in the morning. But do plug it in.

Do you know know what caused the lockup. Any Spirit beta testing going on?

I was trying to open a 40 MP picture in Pictures. Probably a bad idea, but I didn't think it'd crash the device.

Okay, so charging it didn't work (I didn't think it would—nor did I charge, just didn't run out of battery); so I let it discharge and eventually it died. After recharging it, it seems to be back to normal, except I won't be opening any more big pictures.
