Whenever I attempt to play ANY video my iPad
crashes and I have to do a hard restart. This happens when I play YouTube, Video, ABC player. Can anyone help?!
It will play for about 30 seconds and then it crashes. I have re-synced it, I have restored it twice and still the same problem.

your not alone

i am experiencing the same problem too but isn't consistent with mine. This is my 2nd iPad 3G.

1st one had a hair (yes a hair) underneath the screen literally and that one ran fine. Brought that to the Apple store because that one bugged the heck out of me.

The Apple Genius replaced it on the spot with another ipad. The genius brought it out of a brown box (which usually means refurb).

This is a hardware malfunction, you have to have it replaced. Had the same issue with my original iPad.

I have had safari crash when playing videos through the html5 version of youtube. It even rebooted the iPad once after the crash. Regular videos and the old YouTube app seem to be fine.

Seems like a hardware issue, but you could try a restore from iTunes just to be sure. No problems with videos on mine so a replacement may be in store if the restore doesn't help.
