I have an iPad Air 2 for work (highway construction) that I use to read plans and other large pdf documents. Unfortunately, for the past year or more, when I attempt to open large pdf files containing plans, contracts, and other things necessary for field work, the app I’m using crashes while it is loading the file. I’ve tried multiple apps - iBooks and several third-party ($10+ each) apps, and they all crash when opening large (50+ MB) pdfs. I have tried using LTE and wi-f, it doesn’t seem to make a difference. This device is essentially useless if it will not open plans for me. Has anyone encountered this issue? Is there a fix for this?
