All iPads iPad direct local backup solution (no Mac, PC, cloud)?

• What is an easy to use solution to manually or automatically backup an iPad photos & files locally that don't require a Mac/PC/cloud?
• ideally something like lightweight and compact - an external SSD with USB-C or wireless file transfer capability and at least 5 TB of storage (some less important data will not be in the iPad at all times)
• any Apple related tips and things to consider? (limitations, file formats, compatibility, issues)

It's part of the 3-2-1 backup strategy.
