Ipad Doesn't display some PDF Preview Covers???

Why is this? It's driving me nuts. What do the setting need be in adobe when making PDFs to always get preview covers to show on the iPad? Some covers preview fine on the mac and in itunes but do not display on the iPad.

I'm not sure if this will work with PDFs, but if you can find the PDF in iTunes, right click it and go to properties. You might be able to set a cover image from there.

EDIT: Sorry, it is Right Click > Get Info > Artwork. My PDFs that have a cover display them though, like my Student Handbook for College.

yeah but the cover does show up in itunes. Just not on the iPad in iBooks.

Is the PDF reading program different on the iPad? Maybe not as powerful or times outs?

I had that issue, I deleted them from iTunes and the iPad. Renamed them in oSX and the reimported them in to iTunes and back on to the iPad. Problem sorted

Here's the screen shots of the problem. You can see the read books are my thesis. I have several copies trying to solve this cover problem.

Have you tried opening those books yet? I had the problem but once I opened the books it displayed it. Try it. I must say though that "Raising Chicken for Dummies" gave me hell of a laugh

yeah opening the PDFs doesn't correct the covers. Once opened the the PDF displays fine. Yeah there are some really funny "for dummies" covers.


I thinking I might call Apple tech support about this one..
