I am one who has an iMac and a MacBook and if I decide to get an iPad, I don't know that I have much need or justification for keeping my MacBook, especially when Macs hold their value fairly well and can be sold for a decent return.
However, my question is what your opinions are regarding how the iPad will affect the market on used MacBooks if quite a few people will be selling theirs to get an iPad as their desktop companion?
My MacBook is an Aluminum unibody 13.3" MacBook (Nov 2008 before they went MacBook Pro on the 13" model) and it is in mint condition with excellent battery life and a skin on the lid, bottom, and sides (www.bestskinsever.com) so it has no scratches on it at all. Unfortunately it does not have FW like the newer ones, the built in battery for longer use, and since the prices dropped in June, it also isn't worth near what I paid for it.
