All iPads iPad Faulty Screen Advice (Multiple Dark Spots Along Bottom)

I am looking to buy a used iPad from somebody local at a big discount due to the fact that it has dark spots along the bottom of the display.

Has anybody had any experience with the same issue?
If I were to buy it it'd be on the premise of being able to repair it relatively cheap.

I've read online that it could be something as simple as the display ribbon cable needing re-seating?

Any advice or insight would be appreciated! Dom

I’m guessing it’s a cable because it looks very similar to the MacBook Pro “flexgate” issue:

No idea how much a repair would cost, but I wouldn’t buy it.

Yup, that’s what I thought when I first saw it!

They’re selling it for £140 ($184) so I cant help but be tempted, but I’ll hold off unless anybody has any insight or experience with the same issue.

Id hold off as well...they are most likely selling it because apple wont fix it for some reason!
